The architect was given the remit to put an entrance either side (one to go to the lrc store and the other to go to the Repro Centre) and have up to 4 workspaces (two to three staff and two or one library monitor). It will be on a platform raised just one step (about 20 cm). We looked at the hexagon since it is the most space efficient and can be constructed of straight pieces, but he also submitted the circular model too.
Yensi and Sue also have the original circular designs, and have invited them to this ning site so that they can participate in this.

Anyway, did you get the dimensions of the LRC here and, if so, how does that compare to the space we are allocating? I know their model isn't quite right for us but I think I prefer the square look with a curved front desk. There must be space for two desks within the space I think. What do you think?
